Oyo Police Arrests 11 Northerners Sneaking into the State

The Oyo state police command has handed over 11 Northerners who sneaked from Sokoto state into Oyo state, this Saturday.

The Sokoto Citizens who flouted the nationwide ban on interstate movement were nabbed at the Asejire, a border town with Osun state.

The Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde who led the state COVID-19 Task Force to the Asejire Border ordered immediate COVID-19 test for the 11 suspects.

The governor frowned at the deviant behaviour of the Sokoto citizens, with the claim that their movement will be restricted until further notice.
Governor Makinde, however, hinted that he will contact the governor of Sokoto state to call his citizens to order.
