By Gani Salau

The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti, Dr Dayo Oladebeye has donated 200 face masks to the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ekiti State Council towards the fight against the coronavirus pandemic ravaging the country.

While presenting the materials to the council, Oladebeye noted that Journalists are among workers who are in the front line in the fight against COVID 19.

However, Oladebeye had earlier directed the instruction's Center for Entrepreneur Development and Vocational Studies (CEDVS) to produce mask for distribution while playing host to CEDVS Director, Engr Caroline Okereke when the center handed over 200 face masks.

The Polytechnic had also extended the gesture to the staff of the institution and the neighborhood which included Ebira community and the police station along the instruction's route.

It would be recalled that the Federal and state governments had made the wearing of face masks compulsory, effective from May, 2020 which non compliance attracts stiff penalty.
