Ekiti State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Olawale Fapohunda has lauded the governor’s visit to the Ministry of Justice and other ministries at the State’s Secretariat and has described it as a good development.
The Governor who visited the ministries at the State’s secretariat on Wednesday, 9th of January, 2019, was first at the ministry of Justice.
Reacting to the governor’s visit, the Commissioner for Justice said, “it is good the governor came here today to see what we are doing here in the ministry, even with the limited resources available to us.
“Moving forward, there are still much more to do, the ministry is still not where we want it to be, we have taken some important steps but there are still more steps to be taken.
“Ultimately, our goal is to have a different building. It is not acceptable for employees to work in an uncomfortable environment, but we have tried as much as possible to make the working environment as comfortable as possible.
“In 2019 we hope to begin the reconstruction of our new office complex, which when completed, will give us more space. This is essential for us to serve the government and the people of Ekiti State in an efficient and professional manner.
“So, it is good he came here, and it is also good that he saw us at work, that is the essence of a leader, to see how the followers are striving to achieve his vision. So it was a very good development.
Fapohunda who urged legal officers and workers in the ministry to do better said, “What I have told them is that Mr. Governor is interested in what we are doing here. Many of the approvals that we have managed to get is because the governor believes in us”.
“Yes, the legal officers have put in a lot of hard work in 2018 but we can do better to justify the Vite of confidence in us”, he said.
