Abasi Femi Oguntayo
Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has assured Ekiti people of better communication in his second coming over what was experienced in his first term.
Reacting to the response of a participant at the inaugural lecture organized to commemorate his swearing on Monday in Ado Ekiti, Fayemi admitted that his communication handlers didn't do enough to project the various good works of his previous administration.
The governor who presented another book titled:....., said jocularly "if you want me to also be eating on the street, don't worry I'm ready to do so."

In swift reaction, the former governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, who mounted the podium to do the official public presentation of the book however implored Governor Fayemi to rescind his decision to be eating on the street saying "please if you must eat corn or boli, please buy and eat it in your office".
The new governor however did not agree that there was a disconnect between his administration and the grassroot but that "there was no proper dissemination of information despite the numerous unprecedented projects which touched the lives of the people at the grassroot".

Also speaking at the event, Professor Niyi Osundare who delivered the public lecture at the event remarked that: "this is who we are as opposed to what we were in recent past years"
The renowned poet urged Fayemi to restore the values of Ekiti people and bring back the core values with which Ekiti people were identified before the advent of the last administration of Mr Ayodele Fayose.
