Ipole Iloro Goes Agog As Fayemi's Aide, One Other Bag Chieftaincy Titles
All roads lead to the ancient town of Ipole Iloro today as the ace broadcaster and former Special Assistant to the then Governor of Ekiti State, Mrs Yemisi Ayokunle becomes the Yeyeoge of the town along side with a businessman, Mr Ebenezer Busuyi who will be made the Bobagunwa
Mrs Ayokunle who anchored the popular "LIVE GOES ON" on the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State (BSES), served in Dr Kayode Fayemi's government in the office of the Deputy Governor.
The Ilawe Ekiti born trained journalist told Fountain Newsbreaker that she felt elated today to have been considered for this honorary Chieftaincy.
According to the Chairman of the planning committee, Mr Busuyi Ayorinde, Mr Ebenezer Busuyi will also become the Bobagunwa of Ipole Iloro today. The new Bobagunwa is from Erijiyan Ekiti in Ekiti West Local government.
Ayorinde who is also a lawyer disclosed that His Royal Majesty Oba Oyekanmi Ajoshe Ilufemiloye Possy lll who is the Alspa if Begun Aeori Apa Kingdom had arrived in Ipole Iloro since since Friday 8, November, 2017 to grace tgd occasion.
Among those expected at the occasion are the Governor of Ekiti State who is the special guest of honour and the Deputy Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Segun Adewumi.
In a telephone chat with Fountain Newsbreaker reporter, the Olupole of Ipole, Oba Oladele Babatola described Chief (Mrs) Ayokunle as an "Amazon". According to the monarch; "Ipole Iloro is reputed for honouring dynamic, talented and young men and women who have cut a niche for themselves in their respective professional callings, not the moneybags. Among those people ever honoured in the past are: Otunba Akin Okuwadare and Akogun Tai Oguntayo as far back as 2002"
Oba Babatola described Mrs Ayokunle as a fashionable person both physically and professionally. Hence her installation as the Yeyeoge of Ipole Iloro.
MEET THE NEWEST YEYEOGE IN TOWN
Mrs. Yemisi Ayokunle was born in the early hours of 30th January, 1964 to the family of Late Pa Patrick and Deaconess Sola Olagunju in Ilawe Ekiti, South West Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
She attended Community Primary School, Emure Ekiti and St. Louis Grammar School Ikere Ekiti for her elementary and secondary schools respectively. Yemisi also attended College of Education, Ikere Ekiti where she read French Language and Religious Studies before she proceeded to the University of Ado Ekiti, Ado Ekiti with B. Ed. (Hons) Guidance & Counselling. To achieve her childhood ambition of becoming a broadcaster, she went for her postgraduate diploma in journalism at the International Institute of Journalism, Abuja.
The new Yeyeoge did her Youth Service at Ayepe in Ijebu, precisely in1985 and she taught in various Schools between 1985 and 1997. She later joined the services of the Broadcating Service of Ekiti State (BSES) where she served as a Producer, Director and Presenter of various programmes and news both on Radio and Television between 1997 and 2010.
Her first nag in politics was between 2003 and 2006 when she was appointed as the Director of Communications to the Wife of the Governor, Mrs Feyisetan Fayose.
Yeyeoge joined active politics in 2010 and she served in the following political appointments between 2010 and 2014: Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor. (Media), Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor (Public Affairs), Special Assistant to the Wife of the Governor (Advocacy and Mobilization and contested for the house of Assembly in Ekiti South West Constituency 1.
Mrs Ayokunle who is tge author a book titled: "My Experience.....Life Goes On" loves meeting people and travelling. She is married with five children and two grandchildren.

How did you come about this chieftaincy title of Yeyeoge?
It must have been God ordained through a colleague from that town who, Barrister Busuyi Ayorinde who taunts me at every point of my fashion sense.
What's your relationship or past contributions to Ipole Iloro?
Well, I have a few friends from there. In the area of contributions, l have many fans from Ipole Iloro who usually contributed to my phone in programme on the radio tagged: Life Goes On. Most of them do tell me they were touched by the life changing programme and I believe that is a contribution in a way
As an ace broadcaster how did you get into politics?
Through my love for activism. I think it is a graduation from activism to politics.
You once contedted for House of Assembly in Ekiti South West, do you still wish to recontested for any post?
At any given opportunity, why not? I will. Just out of love to serve and speak for my people.
In what way have you touched people's lives generally?
I am a giver and a fighter for people who are cheated/ oppressed and a counsellor by nature and profession.
What is your most embarrassing moment in life
Can I think of one sha? I am too strong hearted to have an embarrassment
Is that anything you hate in politics and why?
Hmmmm, I hate the intrigues and manoeuvrings. I am too straight forward to deceive people.
Do you enjoy family support on your political and professional career and in what ways?
100% support from all sides. They know when I have made up my mind to do anything, nobody can change my mind. All they know they can do is to simply support me and keep praying.
Any regret in life?
No regret. ....Life goes on. Que sera, sera!

Don't be intimidated. Be focused. Preserve your dignity and self esteem.
